Is this legal advice, or does FreedomVote file my reports for me?
Neither. Filing requirements are set by your state, your county and sometimes your specific office, and they change. FreedomVote tracks the deadlines that apply to your race and keeps your records report-ready — you or your treasurer still file, and for anything with real stakes, a local election attorney or your state board of elections is the authority, not us.
How does FreedomVote know which deadlines apply to me?
You tell us your state, your office and your filing agency when you set up compliance tracking, and we build your calendar from that. If you are unsure which reports apply to you, that is exactly the kind of question your county clerk or state board of elections can answer definitively — we would rather point you there than guess.
What happens if I still miss a deadline?
We send reminders well before a due date, not the morning of, and the calendar stays visible on your dashboard the whole cycle. But we cannot file on your behalf or waive a late fee. If a deadline is genuinely in doubt, call your clerk’s office — better an awkward phone call in September than a public notice in November.
What exactly gets logged in the audit trail?
